Eighth Avenue Place
A monumental piece of architecture, Eighth Avenue Place is one of the most prestigious office complexes in all of Canada. This 51-storey mixed-use tower is the first of two towers intended for the site and was oriented to maximize views of the Rocky Mountains to the southwest while using an abundance of floor-to-ceiling glass to emphasize daylight.
Cygnus provided comprehensive wayfinding design and management services for the tower, plaza, and parkade. The scope of work included the design, development, and tender of wayfinding signage for the underground parkade, 51 story tower and an exterior gateway monument. Additional tenant standards were developed to maintain the integrity of the exterior and interior architecture.
Our designers consulted with the project architect throughout the process and developed a stunning signage program that simply and elegantly annotates the building without detracting from the architecture.
Cygnus recognizes the importance of clear parkade communication as a first introduction to a building. We prioritize this scope as a specific deliverable within the full project ensuring that visitors arrive with the best possible impression.
Level identification was designed with multiple layers of information including the use of colour, numbering, text and iconography.
