Mayfair Shopping Centre
Welcoming over 4 million visitors annually, Mayfair Shopping Centre is Vancouver Island’s premier shopping destination. It is home to over 120 stores, including Vancouver Island’s only Banana Republic, Coach, MAC, Aritzia, Town Shoes, American Eagle, Aerie, Swarovski, and Pandora stores.
Mayfair recently completed a two-year, $72 million renovation. The expansion included an additional 100,000 sq ft of retail space, two new above-grade parkades, and the addition of two new anchor stores. Cygnus designed and oversaw implementation of all interior wayfinding and facilities signage, as well as exterior directional signage, the prominent Mayfair marquee, and parking signage.
The interior wayfinding strategy was created to address the newly-renovated, and simplified, circulation throughout the mall. The royal purple used throughout differentiates Mayfair wayfinding and brand signage from the diversity of tenant brand colours.
